Introduction

BS formerly known as Advent International School of Bangkok (AISB) is a sister school of Ramkamheng Adventist International School (RAIS)
located at Soi 119 Sukhaphiban 3 Road, Huamark, Bangkapi, Bangkok. It is privately owned. This coeducational institution serves the needs of many in and around Bangkok, Thailand in a Christian Environment. AISB was established in 2002 and then in 2007 it was changed from international school to an English program to cater the needs of the greater mass, and thus BAS was born.

 History of RAIS and AISB

In December 1998, Mr. Udom Srikureja, a Christian Businessman was strongly inspired by God to convert his speaker factory into an international school.
Humbly responding to the call of the Divine, preparations and renovations began. Teachers were hired. Books were ordered Applications were submitted.
Just 3 months later, with the full support and encouragement of Thai Ministry of Education and Thailand Adventist Mission, and well-wishers, RAIS opened its portals and welcomed the first batch of students


AISB to BS

Thus today, Bangkok Advent School (formerly Advent International School of Bangkok AISB), owned and managed by G.J. Asset Co. Ltd, under the leadership Mr. Poramit Srikureja, stands as a monument to the power and glory of God.

Vision

The school gives the students a quality education, and prepares them to attain the highest possible standards to meet nationally and international demands.

Philosophy
Advent School Bangkok seeks to provide a well-rounded Christian education that focuses on academic excellence and the development of strong moral values. The educational philosophy is firmly grounded in Seventh - Day Adventist system of education, the largest Protestant school system in the world.

The Seventh - Day Adventist philosophy of education is Christ-centered. Adventist believe that under the guidance of the Holy Sprit, God's character and purposes can be understood as revealed in nature, the Bible and Jesus Christ.

It is the Goal of BA to prepare the students for their future in a global community as well as to possess sufficient skills to enrich their lives and the lives of others. School Day
School starts at 8.00. All children are required to attend from Monday to Friday except holidays. Every class students finish at 16.00, unless staying for after school activities until 16.30.

Special Events
Bangkok Advent School celebrates its different nationalities by celebrating days in the calendar that share our cultures, food and traditions with the children and families

Communications

Daily Report Book
An open daily report book to communicate with your child's teacher, if necessary, or for your child's teacher to communicate with you. Contains general information and letters

Parent Consultation Days
Come and talk to your child's teacher. These days are held during Term 1 and Term 3 after you receive your child's school report. Consultation times are by appointment and will be arranged by your child's classroom teacher.

School Reports
Your child's development will be reported on progress reports at the middle and end of each semester, with full school report written at the end of the year

Weekly Newsletter
We send a weekly newsletter home on Monday. This will inform parents of information, important dates, and upcoming events for the following week.

BS Records
We will track your child's progress with records that will assess the skills as your child acquires them. This record can be reviewed at parent consultation days.

English Program

The purposes of this initiative of Bangkok Advent School are to support the Education Reform in Thailand and to use English as medium of instruction. The ultimate goal is to improve English proficiency of Thai students.

1. At pre-primary (Kindergarten) level:
The maximum usages of English is 50 percent of the total periods per weeks

2. At primary level:
English is used in selected subjects including English language, Mathematics, Science and Physical Education.
The advantage to the teaching-learning process in terms of the ability to communicate in English as well as the knowledge and understanding of the substance of each subject will be taken into consideration.

3. At secondary level:
English is used in all subject, except for Thai language and Social Studied
(only the parts of the curriculum that are related to Thai tradition, culture and Law.

3. Level 3: Mathayomseksa 1 - 3
4. Level 4: Mathayomseksa 4 - 6
